Zhen Bai is an Assistant Professor co-leading the ROCHCI research group at the Department of Computer Science, University of Rochester. Zhen received her Ph.D. degree from the Graphics & Interaction Group at the University of Cambridge in 2015, and was a postdoctoral fellow in the Human-Computer Interaction Institute and the Language Technologies Institute at Carnegie Mellon University before joining the University of Rochester. Zhen’s background combines Augmented Reality, human-agent interaction, learning technology, assistive technology, and design for diversity. Her research has drawn from multiple disciplines including human-computer interaction, natural language processing, developmental and social psychology, and learning science to design augmented and intelligent interfaces that support lifelong learning and quality of life for people with diverse abilities and backgrounds.
