The SkyOp Drone Primer gives attendees an overview of what a small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) aka drone is, the requirements for operating a drone commercially in the United States, and information on how drone use can benefit an organization.

Jon joined SkyOp in December 2018 as the CEO. Prior to that Jon was the Director of Consulting for NUAIR, a contract instructor and content developer for SkyOp and owner of his own drone service provider company, US DRONE. Jon has been a licensed drone pilot under FAA Part 107 since September 2016. Before entering the drone industry, Jon held management positions at Shred-It, Home Depot and Timken Aerospace. Jon graduated from Boston University served as an Armor officer in the United States Army after graduation. Jon earned his MBA from the University of New Hampshire in 2005. When he is not flying a drone or promoting drone use, Jon is cheering on his son (15) and daughter (16) at an ice hockey or field hockey game with his wife Susie. Jon has been a resident of Clay, NY for the last 14 years.
